Easy Ways To Make Money In Slime Rancher

Some basic info

WARNING: THIS GUIDE IS SEVERELY OUTDATED, AND I DON'T PLAN ON UPDATING IT ANYTIME SOON

Something you'll want to remember for later is the value of the Plorts. This will help you set basic goals and plan about wich slimes you should keep, wich you should replace, and which you should set free/send to their firey doom/drop in the sea.

It should go like this:
Pink<Rock=Tabby=Phosphor<Boom=Honey=Puddle=Rad<Gold

NOTE:(This is the default order. It may change depending on wich Plorts decrease/increase in value)

Coincidentally enough, that order is the same order in wich you met slimes (apart from the puddle slime, wich can be found earlier than the Honey one, but is limited to one and the Gold one, wich has a rare chance to appear anywhere)

IMPORTANT:
Largo slimes take up more space, produce 2 Plorts of it's kind, and turn into Tarr if they eat a different Plort than the ones they make, but won't eat Plorts of it's kind. Because of this, it's ideal to store a

maximum

of 6-7 or so Largos in a single Coral so they don't have trouble eating, and that they are of the same kind (or else they are pretty much as good as dead)

I should also mention the Slimes' "abilities", wich make them stand out and be more difficult to raise.

Pink: Noone, can only jump aimlessly and smile
Rock: Deals contact damage, and performs a rolling charge every few seconds (curls up into a spiky ball before doing this)
Tabby: Performs a pounce at the player (shrinks and wiggles for a bit before doing this)
Phosphor: Dissapears after a while of being exposed to sunlight
Boom: Explodes, and pushes slimes and other objets around (Glows and makes a sound before doing this)
Honey: It's plorts generate more attention to other slimes (It's supposed to be harmful because of the creation of more Tarr)
Rad: Creates an aura, wich starts dealing damage once stood on long enough
Puddle: Dissapears after a while of not touching water, and it's plorts dissapear instantly if they aren't touching water (It's also very rare, appearing only in 2 places in the second area)
Gold: Can't be raised

Did you know?
Tarrs have limited lifespan that starts counting down as soon as they are created, and shortens if they are hit by water. (meaning they can only be alive for a limited time.)
Wild slimes respawn permanently, so no worries if some of them die.
If a Tarr as little as touches water once from a lake, or shot from your Vacpack, it can't reproduce. (You can tell if a Tarr has touched water or not by it's rainbows; They are grey if they have been hit by water.)
You can collect water from geysers if you stand in the right spot and use your Vacpack.
Pink slimes will most likely eat anything that drops from a box, so try to break them far away from them. (or just shoot them to a new home.)
Everything that touches the Slime Sea despawns, so you can use it to discard items. (No need for an incinerator!)
Slimes can be used as platforms to get to secret areas easily.
Some Slime's abilities can be completly nullified if taken care of correctly. (Like the Honey one, whose plorts can't be eaten by anyone if they are isolated, or a Rock one, if kept in a corral with a Plort Collector.)

First area (The Dry Reef)

You start the game in The Dry Reef, wich itself is separated in different "segments" wich differ in slimes and food. The first "segment" contains only Pink Slimes, the second cointains Pink slimes and rarely, Rocks, the third, Rocks, Pinks and rarely, Tabbies and the forth, Equal chances of finding all 3 types. At night, Phosphor slimes become common in all segments.

You should start off by putting around 3 Pink Rock slimes in your Corral, since Tabbies can, and will jump over the walls (countered by buying higher walls or sky net), and Phosphor Slimes dissapear in the sunlight (countered by buying Solar Shield). However, be careful since you can die by Rock slimes.
Keep doing this untill you get enough for Solar Shield for your Corral, and raise Phosphors
I reccomend raising only Largo Slimes, as they produce the Plorts of 2 Slimes but only eat the food of one. Keep doing this untill you have 1500 coins, wich will be the key, and your objetive.
Making a routine of leaving to look for food and slimes, and returning to the Ranch to feed the Slimes will make the process a bit less tedious.
Remember to pick up any Cuberries you find, as these will be very important. If you find one, don't hesitate to spend a bit of money in buying a Garden and planting it as it will be important later.

Once you get 1500 coins buy The Grotto expansion to your Ranch, and save enough money to place 2 Gardens in the lowest level, and plant the Cuberries you harvested. (if you didn't find any, use Pogofruits, but if you want to, Cuberries can be found in the forth segment, near the bridge, behind the rock that separates the 2 paths)

Now comes the fun part. Go and look for any Phosphor Slimes and Plorts, and any Tabby Slimes and plorts you may find (or you can use the Plorts from your previous Corral) and make around 20 Phosphor tabbies. Feed them and collect their plorts, sell them and upgrade the farms. (WARING: DON'T BUY THE SCARESLIME UPGRADE; YOU WANT THE SLIMES TO BE ABLE TO EAT THE FRUITS BY THEMSELVES)
This makes for an easy system where the Largos will eat the fruit dropped, and since Cuberries are the Phosphor Slime's favorite, they will create x2 the plorts without any need to feed them manually.

Naturally, the place will be flooded with Plorts before you know it

The Second area (The Moss Blanket)

In case an army of glowing flying kittens and a sea of valuable poop wasn't enough, you can make even MORE easy money once you unlock the second area.
This area brings us the 2 most valuable normal Plorts (Boom and Honey). Naturally, we would want a combination of both to maximize our income.
Be careful, because the only way to leave the second area is by a teleporter at the end of the zone, that takes you to your Ranch, and leaves any crate or Largo you were holding behind. Not only that, but in order to reach the teleporter, you must pass trough a thin corridor with feral Pink Boom Largos, wich can kill KO you.
While you are at collecting Honey and Boom Slimes, you should also grab any Mint Mangoes and Puddle slimes you have, as they will be important.
If you survive the trip, and return with plenty of Boom and Honey Slimes/Plorts, unlock the Overgrowth area, and like you did in The Grotto, buy 2 gardens and fully upgrade them MINUS THE SCARESLIME OPTION, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, place the Mint Mangoes in them, and fill the place with Boom Honey Largos.

With this, you successfully created a Ranch of a combination of the 2 most valuable basic slimes, and almost completly nullified the downsides they have (it's a big area, so the explosions won't be as harmful when spreading objects, and since there are only 2 kinds of slimes and 2 kinds of plorts, nothing will be tempted by the Honey Plorts).
This is a bonus because the big amount of Hen Hens will make a meal for the few stupid distracted Slimes that don't go after the Mint Mangoes.

Puddle Slimes: The best kind of slime?

As you might remember, i reccomended grabbing any of the rare Puddle Slimes you can find. This is because they might be the best kind of slime overall, from a combiantion of the payoff, the effort required to raise, and the money spent for their care.

Puddle Slimes only need one thing to live: Water. You can easily get them by building a Pond, the most expensive of buildings by 450 coins, and being the only building along with the Incinerator to not have upgrades.
Normally, the Ponds are kind of useless, granting only water that is helpful agaist Tarr, that won't appear if you know what you're doing, and can be just flung into the sea if they do appear. However, they can maintain Puddle Slimes COMPLETLY.
This turns Puddle Slimes into a completly passive "upgrade" that generates valuable plorts without any effort on your part whatsoever, making Puddle Slimes a very worthwhile Slime to kidnap collect.

Also, they're adorable.
